Jewel was born in Payson, Utah, US, on 23rd May 1974. Her parents are Attila Kuno and Lenedra Kilcher. They got divorced when Jewel was 8 years old. She has two brothers, Shane and Atz. Jr.Jewel. They used to live with their father. She used to perform music in roadhouses along with her father. It was a source of income for them.
